The Mineral Optimization System (M.O.S.) combines artificial intelligence with genetic programming to optimize mining routes in underground mining. It calculates the optimal routes from a large dataset of raw data and more than 100 billion route possibilities within a very short time.
The M.O.S. optimizes operational mining by significantly reducing the amount of waste materials by up to 20% and by increasing the yield by between 4%-10%.
